Different from the current fusion based laser 3D printing, AFAM is used in mid to large size ligjt alloy additive manufacturing with requirement for high mechanical property.

FSAM and AFS are fusion based additive manufacturing, they are good technologies. AFAM is different from them in a way that it combines advanced process with mature machinery technologies.
