New concept
Advanced Friction Additive Manufacture is a new AM technique leveraging solid/semi-solid friction stir. The reason it is advanced is because strengthen theory is used in the micro-environment of additive manufaction. AFAM is an innovative integration between advanced design, material and mature machinery.
Market potential
Different from the current fusion based laser 3D printing, AFAM is used in mid to large size ligjt alloy additive manufacturing with requirement for high mechanical property.
Product and services
ATII aims to conduct fundational research around AFAM, provide consulting, training and patent authorization services. ATII will also produce core AFAM products such as AFAM tool head.
Competitors
FSAM and AFS are fusion based additive manufacturing, they are good technologies. AFAM is different from them in a way that it combines advanced process with mature machinery technologies.
ATII strategy
The metal semi-solid additive manufacturing technology field has a large capacity, and now it is still in the growth period for the next five years. ATII adopts the strategy of differentiated development to adopt the advanced technology-driven approach to initiate and promote the development of the AFAM business. ATII aims to run fundational research and provide services, we do not sell finished product, rather we provide service to help manufacturing companies improve their existing tooling to have AM capabilities.
Advantages of ATII AFAM
AFAM is an open technology system that is simple and convenient to use, simplifies heavy fixtures, improves material utilization, and reduces internal stress of additive parts. The mechanism is characterized by high efficiency, high quality, low energy consumption, low cost and very environmental friendliness, which significantly reduces the threshold for research and application of semi-solid additive manufacturing systems.
Revenue share
AFAM is a high-end technology research application, which will have a good return rate, but we provide AFAM technical services, product-level profits to our partners, ATII only do AFAM based research, obtaining reasonable share of profits, use original technical knowledge and success stories. Conduct AFAM online technical training services.
